Janie and Allie are two lovely sisters, who have a very close bond and will be adopted together as a sibling group.
Janie is six years old, with brown eyes and dark blonde, thick shoulder length hair. A lovely little girl, very polite and a people pleaser, Janie likes to make sure that everyone around her is happy, and she is a popular girl in her class at school.
She likes to dress up and do role play games. Janie also likes to be out and about and loves going to the park, beach and on family activities or playing in the garden.
Janie is independent with her self care skills. She is able to dress herself, clean her teeth, have a shower and go to the toilet herself. Due to her young age she requires prompting and support on some occasions, but she is able to make simple decisions for herself.
Since being in foster care Janie has made real progress with her academic achievements. There are no current concerns around her educational needs and she is settled in her current school.
Janie can be bossy with her younger sister Allie, and there is a lot of competition between the two siblings, but once Janie is reminded about not being bossy, this settles down.
Four year old Allie is of average height and build for her age. She has brown eyes, straight, brown hair and a fair complexion. Allie is a happy, easy going little girl, with a good sense of humour. She can be moody at times, mainly when she cannot have her own way. Occasionally she can seem to lack age-appropriate common sense and needs supervision. She is a chatty little girl but can sometimes be difficult to understand due to her delayed speech.
Allie likes messy play, especially play dough and arts and crafts, and her favourite programme is Paw Patrol. Allie enjoys nursery very much, and enjoys playing dress up and wearing her princess dress.
When Allie first came into foster care she had been treated very much as the baby of the family, but has been encouraged to play at a level of her age, and as a result she has made great progress with her development. She needs to be encouraged to share and take turns and she is starting to do this. She has just started school and is excited to go every day.
