Four year old Madison has light brown hair, blue eyes and a lovely smile. She is a very happy little girl who likes to have a giggle, loves cuddles and can be quite cheeky. Madison is now crawling and can stand and pull herself up on the settee to look out of the window. She likes to watch Peppa Pig on TV, likes to play with her iPad. She also enjoys hearing a story and likes musical toys, and toys that she can shake. Madison likes to go to the park and play on the swings.
Madison was diagnosed with craniofrontonasal dysplasia, with a mutant EFNB1 gene. She was born with a cleft lip and palate but had successful surgery to repair these. Madison is currently predominantly gastrostomy-fed but is now having a blended diet via the gastrostomy in addition to her Nutrini milk. She is awaiting video fluroscopy which has unfortunately been delayed due to the Covid-19 pandemic and it is hoped that once this procedure is completed Madison may be able to take food orally.
Despite her health issues, Madison is thriving and making excellent progress with her development. She started nursery in September 2020.
While she needs additional care and compassion from her forever family in dealing with these health issues, Madison is a lovely child and will flourish if given the security, attention and love that she craves.
