About Cody

Hello! I’m Cody, a bright and beautiful two year old with a big personality and a heart full of joy. I love toys, and making people smile with my playful spirit.

I’m happiest when I’ve got a toy in my hand. I love sitting in my rocker watching Coco Melon or tapping spoons together while I relax. I love group time and singing along to “Wind the Bobbin”.

I’ve been lovingly cared for by my foster carer since May 2023. We have a very special bond. I am happy and thriving in her care. We enjoy going to the playgroups each week, and my little world is full of routine, care, and gentle encouragement.

Background

My development is sightly delayed, I took my first steps in February 2025 and am now starting to explore walking more, though crawling is still my go-to.

I’ve had amazing support from physiotherapy since I was six months old, using tools like a stander, boots, and a walker. I do not need them anymore!

I attend Cygnets, a specialised group where brilliant professionals help me with movement, learning, and communication.

I’m on the path to learning how to express myself. I make lovely little noises and am slowly picking up Makaton signs, with “food” being my favourite one! My foster carer is helping me learn more every day.
