October’s online information events

Our online information events are the ideal way to find out more about adoption in a relaxed and friendly environment.  At each event, our team give an overview of the adoption process, they tell guests about the children in our care and they’ll talk about the qualities needed to make a brilliant adopter.

Events last around an hour and at each session we welcome a real life adopter who will share their own adoption story with guests and answer questions in an honest and informed way.  Both our guest speaker and our adoption experts are on-hand to answer any questions along the way.

Our adoption information events are held online via Teams, so you can also join us from wherever you are. The friendly events are ideal for those who are at the very early stages of  researching adoption, as well as those who are ready to take their first steps.  You can even have a cuppa and a snack from the comfort of your own home at our online events.

Whether you are single or looking to attend an event as a couple, you would be warmly welcomed by our team and there is no expectations for you to progress if you decide it’s not right for you.

To book onto one of our events please email adoptcoasttocoast@durham.gov.uk stating which date you’d like to attend, your location and if you are bringing anyone with you, and one of our team will send you the link for the event.

Adopt Coast to Coast is the Regional Adoption Agency for Cumbria County Council, Durham County Council and Together for Children which delivers children’s services on behalf of Sunderland City Council.  If you want to find out more about adoption, rest assured we will be by your side to support you at each stage of the process – from making an initial enquiry, right through to once your new family is formed.
